Hi, my name is Todd Ronalds and I am a proud soldier of the British army. I am also a husband and a soon to be Father my wifes name is Cibby, she's an amazing girl and I love her dearly I write to her as often as I possibly can and I miss her very much. I'll be home to her once again soon enough. I'm very proud of my Country I couldn't ask for a better place to live we have the best Military in the world. I'm very much so ready for this war to be over I want to go home I used to basically live in a submarine we don't get much action there but every once in a while a ship will come along and nothing makes me happier then to kill off a few Germans. I used to fly in the planes with other people and I used a machine gun there I miss that nothing like having so much fire power right at your fingertips. Well, I got to get back to this war.
The reason my country is in this war;
One of the reasons my Country is in World War I is because Britain is part of something called the Entente, the other countries invovled in this Entente is France, Russia, and Belgium. Well, Germany ended up attacking Belgium trying to get to France (Germany was trying to avoid a two front war) and that went against our Entente so we joined up with France and began ur journey in this terrible war. Another reason my Country is in this world is because of Militarism. Yes, it's very true that Britain has the strongest Military in the world. Germany couldn't accept that fact so they tried to better their navy and make them the strongest military in the world. We can't have that though so that was another reason we are in this war.
June 28, 1914;
This was the day that the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria Hungary and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of hohenberg were assasinated. (shot dead while driving in an open topped car) The black hand terrorist group were the ones who are responsable for this murder, They came from Serbia one member of the group threw a bomb but it didn't kill them so another member shot them both dead right there on the spot just like that! I don't blame them really if I thought our Country was under some kind of threat I would probably shoot the people too. Austria then declared war on Serbia and since Serbia had made alliances with the Entente we had another reason to go to war.
My Battle plan;
We would make Trenches reaching around toward the enemy when they would come we would hide in these trenches for safety, less people would die on our side and more people on their side would be killed by our Rifles. Rifles, could kill someone 1,400 meters away from us. We would have planes with Machine guns, bombs, and cannons in them we would shoot people from the sky and they had less a chance to shoot us up there in a plane then they would if we used blimbs. "Dogfights" (two planes fighting in the air) could happen and we would have a chance of getting killed then but that would most likely not happen to often. We would have torepedos in our submarines and we would shoot war ships and sink them.

Russia's exit & USA's entry;
Russia didn't have much internal transport and industrial base to support a long war and after three long years Russia was spent they couldn't stay in the War any longer. One of the main reasons the USA went into World War I was becuase Germany had submarines attack passanger and merchant ships, Germany also tried to entice Mexico to into an alliance against the United States. So on April 4, 1917 the USA joined in on this so called "Great War."
My Countries reaction the Treaty of Versailles;
This treaty was all about the Germans paying for damages and for pensions to the lost soliders families along with much more. We personally thought that the Germans should not be treated all so harshly because we think it will lead to other problems either in the near future or later on but eventually we believed that it will. We also thought they should be able to recover first at least. We also believe that its not fair that France be given back the Rhineland. Llyod George was ready to make them "demilitarized."
December 24th 1914;
Today was a very off day we were pointing our rifles from our trenches over towards the other sides trenches. Then we say a few of them get up with their pamls facing us almost like a peace offer at first I was hesitant I didn't know what to do but I was curious of what they were doing and not only that but shooting unarmed men is something I'm not in favor of. I was afraid to all of a sudden hear random fire from every where shooting the men dead but that never happened. The men asked us to join them and trade chocolate and jam. So we did, despite the fact that this could be a very well played out attack we didn't care we went and joined them we traded chocolate and jam we toasted as well. I also watched them play soccer against us. For once I wasn't thinking about the war I was having fun and enjoying myself for the first time in forever. It was going to be hard to have to shoot them just the next day I don't exactly think of them as an enemy right now. Tomorrow I was going to have to though because tomorrow my life will be at stake. Kill or be killed.
